Woodfill Elementary PTO

The Big Top Festival is a school-wide fundraiser designed to bring families together for a day of fun, community, and school spirit. With a vibrant carnival theme, the event features games, inflatables, auctions, food, prizes, and FUN for all ages. This is our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year and contributes to the majority of programs and additional resources our students need to thrive. This event always falls in September- Mark your calendars!

This PTO-sponsored event kicks off the Big Top weekend. The evening features a variety of games and a delicious family-style spaghetti dinner catered by LaRosa’s. This is a great opportunity for new families to get involved in our school community. It always falls the Friday before our annual Big Top Festival.

​Spirit wear allows students, families, and staff to show their school pride. Sales of spirit wear contribute to the many programs our school has to offer.

Held on WES campus, the bookfair features a wide selection of books for all reading levels and interests, allowing students to explore new titles and build their home libraries. The WES PTO gives each student a book stipend to allow ALL WES children, regardless of income, to shop for books.

This is a fun, family-focused school event that encourages a love of reading for our WES families. Sponsored by the PTO, each student receives a free book to take home, helping to build their personal libraries and promote literacy at every grade level. The evening includes engaging activities centered around reading and setting W.I.G.'s (Wildly-Important-Goals). All students at WES will read the books and collaborate.

Filled with photos, student achievements, and special moments, the yearbook serves as a lasting keepsake for families and students. WES PTO helps to create and deliver these yearbooks-- we do not use this as a fundraiser. We offer yearbooks to families at-cost.

Leader in Me is a school-wide program that focuses on teaching "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People". The program focuses on responsibility, goal-setting, teamwork, and problem-solving to help students become confident, independent leaders and positive contributors to their community. WES PTO sponsors this program that promotes a culture of leadership, accountability, and growth for students, staff, and families.

WES is proud to be recognized as a Leader in Me, Lighthouse School!

WES PTO enjoys recognizing and celebrating the hard work and dedication of the school’s educators and staff. Through thoughtful activities, gifts, and events, the PTO shows gratitude and support on behalf of our WES families. We celebrate staff birthdays and holiday's year round. We also have a designated Staff and Teacher Appreciation week that happens in May each year.

Field trips provide students with valuable hands-on learning experiences outside the classroom. These trips enrich the curriculum, spark curiosity, and promote social skills by allowing students to explore new environments and concepts firsthand. By funding transportation, admission fees, or special activities, the PTO helps make these educational opportunities accessible to all students, enhancing their overall school experience.

The Junior Library Guild is a program that helps our school reinvigorate our library's book collection, keeping our books current and fresh. Our WES wildcats receive new books monthly to check out from the library.

WES PTO enjoys collaborating with the school principal and staff to work on BIG projects that make an impact on our school. Most recently, we funded "the turf project" where we transformed our WES playground from mulch to turf, enabling WES students of ALL abilities to play on a flat, safe surface. Our 2026 project consists of replacing our marquee to allow our WES community and friends to get all our important school updates.

We support a vast array of school-wide programs - much more than mentioned here - that support our students and provide exceptional opportunity for our little WES leaders.
